Santa Clara Power Builders Cohort #1

Together for 5 years

This Cohort lasts up to five years so relationships can strengthen, processes can develop, and internal structures can be built. Together, Climate Resilient Communities, People Acting in Community Together (PACT), and Services, Immigrant Rights and Education Network (SIREN) will meet quarterly to present grant proposals to each other, vote on new grants, share progress updates, and seek advice on new challenges as they build capacity and grow.

Climate Resilient Communities seeks to empower community voices and implement frontline, locally led climate solutions for unity, resilience, and justice that result in immediate and tangible improvements in the lives of residents.

Founded 2022

People Acting in Community Together’s (PACT) mission is to empower everyday people to create a healthier and just society by winning extraordinary victories for the community – not by speaking for them, but by teaching people how to speak up and take action in the public arena through grassroots organizing.

Founded 1992

Services Immigrant Rights and Education Network (SIREN) supports immigrant and refugee communities in California as their own agents of change through community education, organizing, leadership development, legal services, policy advocacy, and civic engagement.

Magic Cabinet prioritizes community-born, led, and serving organizations to build their capacity and accelerate their impact. We believe if given the time, tools, and resources they ask for, the organizations and the communities they serve will flourish.

Amidst a changing world, nonprofits feel the pressing need to adapt. However, within this challenge exists an opportunity to redefine their visual identity. Connecting with Nonprofits How We Build Trust With Communities

Following our Community Input phase, our team dives back into research to connect with nonprofits and select organizations to fund. Our approach focuses on building more open and trusting relationships with communities.
