Leila Batmanghelidj
Senior Program Officer - Innovation
For nearly 20 years, Leila has worked across philanthropy, community health, and social impact to advance equity and strengthen community-led solutions locally and globally. Previously, she led the community health economic opportunity strategy for Kaiser Permanente Washington, managing a wide-ranging grant portfolio focused on wealth building, small-business growth, and equitable career pathways.
Leila thrives on turning strategy into action, partnering closely with grassroots leaders and national networks. Her approach is rooted in trust, listening, and a deep belief in community power. As the daughter of Iranian refugees, her lived experience continues to shape her perspective and purpose.
Leila holds a BA in International Relations and Spanish Studies and a MSW with a focus on Management and Planning. Her path has taken her from Northern Virginia and Washington, DC, to the Bay Area, and now Seattle, which she calls home. Outside of work, she loves to cook, garden, spend time in the desert, cross-country ski, and explore the Pacific Northwest with her two young children.
